Stories of Love and Conflict

Have you a story of love between different faiths, cultures, religions, tribes or a story of how conflict affected love in your family? If so, register for the Love Story Telling Sessions at the Radisson Hotel, Farnham Estate.

  • Stories of Love and Conflict in Ireland. Thursday 15 April 6pm - 10pm.
  • Stories of Love and Conflict in Foreign Lands. Thursday 13 May 6pm - 10pmhe 
  • Does Love Follow the Same Course Thursday 3 June 6pm - 10pm

Calling Cavan Gardeners and Producers

 Cavan Gardeners and Producer’s Network is made up of Cavan gardeners and producers who come together to share information, experience and ideas, learn from each other, and help communities grow and produce their own food. It will be open to all community gardeners and food producers. It is hoped activities will involve

  • Training
  • The development of community gardens / allotments
  • The holding of a countywide produce show
  • Guerrilla gardening initiatives
  • The development of a vibrant Cavan Farmers’ Market

Energy Matters in Cavan

As part of its ‘Sustaining Cavan’ initiative, Cavan Community Forum will be producing an email bulletin, Energy Matters, first edition in February. This bulletin will circulate energy saving tips, and information about alternative methods of energy production, useful websites, waste management, composting etc. If you have any information that you think should be circulated, please send to kateennals@cavancoco.ie

  • To make representations on issues that affect communities in Cavan.
  • To be a vehicle for local consultation.
  • To involve people in the social, cultural and economic activities in the county.

 

As a Community & Voluntary Group in County Cavan, you can now create your own web-site as an add on to the Cavan Community Forum homepage. It is free of charge and is as easy as sending an e-mail.

Cavan community groups will be able to promote the work that they do, the local amenities in their area, the services they provide – all with a few clicks of the keys! Visitors and local people alike will be able to check in to find out what is going on in at local level. It is very easy to set up and even easier to up date.
