Introduction
As a result of its work in the past few years responding to issues raised in our local communities, Cavan Community Forum is to focus its attention on the development and support of building resilient communities able to respond to global issues such as recession, climate change, oil reduction and sustainable energies.
Working with the Cavan Energy Team, a sub group of Cavan Community Forum, the focus of the year ahead is to carry out an energy audit, take the steps towards setting up an energy agency for Cavan, develop a gardeners network, carry out a land bank audit, develop community gardens and allotments, and work on an arts project that will encourage Cavan people to think about the impact of climate change and global issues on our communities.
Information will be circulated through an email bulletin, Energy Matters, which is available from this page. And documents of interest will also be place here. See links.
